Day 29

The run-through of my presentation today was okay. Unfortunately I ran over time and didn't even get to my demonstration of the site. Hopefully I can compensate better tomorrow and time everything better. Wish me luck!

Day 28

Things are starting to wrap up here and today I completely finished my presentation as well as the first draft of my conference paper. The Hawaiian Luau was really fun today, including the s'mores and veggie pizza!

Day 27

I made some final adjustments to my presentation. Dr. Kerekes has definitely changed my perspective on how to create a comprehensible and informative Power-Point. I also fixed one graphical bug in the website and made a ton of progress on the conference paper. Passing all of my knowledge over to Steve will be very interesting.

Day 26

I'm back from Boston! My trip was awesome, Boston is a really amazing city and the subway (or "T" in Bostonian) was an adventure in itself.

As for my work here, things are beginning to wrap up. My meeting today with Dr. Kerekes was extremely helpful, especially with tips related to my presentation. My main focus right now is completing the conference paper for my project. Also, I pared down my slide count in my presentation from 22 to 14.

Day 25

Today consisted mostly of editing the content of the website. I have input almost all of the instructions and descriptions to the best of my ability (having only been involved with remote sensing for the summer). It doesn't look like installing phpBB3 (a php-based forum) will be very easy or even viable, as it might create too much traffic for the web server here. My presentation is close to done, but it might actually be too long.

Day 24

After meeting with Dr. Kerekes today, I ironed out some more specifics in the site, including the password reset function, including radiance and reflectance data int he download, and including the "unclassified" class in confusion matrices.

My trip to Carnegie Melon was great! Its one-year-old CS Gates building is remarkable. I'll be leaving on Wednesday for the week to check out Boston colleges.

Day 23

I fixed admin deletion of uploads and personal upload sorting today! Also, I'm leaving early to travel to Pittsburgh today to visit Carnegie-Mellon. I'll blog about my trip when I get back!
